Liberty Church Macon, located in South Bibb County in Macon, GA, has been preaching the gospel and ministering to our community continually since 1834. Throughout its history, Liberty has been a Methodist Church. However, in June 2022, Liberty disaffiliated from the UMC and now, as an independent, spirit-filled church, continues as a gospel-preaching, faith-filled-praying, discipleship-making, community-loving congregation. Our average Sunday morning attendance is 120.
Liberty already has in place a well-defined, successfully led, efficient administrative and ministerial structure. You’ll find a supportive pastoral staff, experienced administrative council, conservative finance committee, and motivated evangelism and mission teams. Our congregation is ready to apply their skills, talents, and God-given abilities (both spiritual and natural) to further the Kingdom of God.
And that’s where you come in. You can best help us to:
- Preach the gospel
- Baptize believers
- Equip disciples
Contact us if you are a spiritually mature believer, a student of the Word, are led by the Holy Spirit, and have a God-given gift of nurturing and shepherding people.
We’re also looking for a full-time pastor who has a heart for worship and local missions, engages with our community, is a servant leader who joyfully leads by example, and delegates with wisdom. Plus, someone who is willing to lovingly confront and oppose doctrine contrary to God’s Word while teaching sound biblical principles.
Is your character above reproach; are you fiscally responsible both personally and spiritually? Do others see you as energetic? Are you a team player? Do you enjoy fellowshipping and relating at church, not only with your family, but also with all age groups?
If our senior pastor position describes you, if you have at least a bachelor’s degree with a ministerial focus, and are experienced as a senior or associate pastor, we’d like to talk.

However, in June 2022, Liberty disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church and now, as an independent, spirit-filled church, continues as a gospel-preaching, faith-filled-praying, discipleship-making, community-loving congregation. Our average Sunday morning attendance is 120.
As our youth pastor, you will find a well-defined doctrine, God-honoring governing bylaws, a supportive pastoral staff and congregation, experienced church administration, and energetic evangelism and mission teams. You will find Liberty is ready to use their God-given gifts and talents to help you succeed as our youth pastor and contemporary praise team leader.
When we think about you, we see someone who:
- Is called, appointed, and anointed to pastor youth (and their parents)
- Encourages more youth to be discipled at Liberty
- Leads our contemporary service’s praise band and congregation in praise and worship
- Inspires musicians and youth to praise God with their talents
